Definition of Aluminum Foil Blister and Strip Packaging
Blister packaging and strip packaging are two popular forms of the Pharmaceutical packaging system
Blister packaging is a form of unit dose packaging in which a pre-formed semi-rigid blister/cavity is filled with product and covered with a heat sealable backing material. Here, the blister/cavity/pouch is formed by a thermoforming or cold forming process.

Strip packaging is an alternative form of unit-dose packaging in which a pharmaceutical product is enclosed between two sheets of heat-sealable flexible film by a heated reciprocating platen or heated crimping roll.
Strip packaging and Blister packaging processes
Strip packaging process: A strip packaging is formed around the tablet as it falls through a heated reciprocating platen or heated crimping roll into the sealing area between two sheets of heat-sealable flexible film.

Blister packaging process: Blister packaging is made by a form-fill-seal method. First, a semi-rigid blister/cavity is formed by a thermoforming or cold forming process, then the product is filled and covered with a heat sealable backing material.<br>
