Hot rolled aluminum plate generally refers to the rolling of metal above the crystallization temperature. Compared with ordinary casting and rolling products, hot rolled aluminum plate has the characteristics of good surface quality, strong mechanical properties and ductility, and good oxidation effect.

Cold rolled aluminum sheet is also called cast rolled aluminum sheet. Cold rolling usually refers to the rolling of metal below the recrystallization temperature. Cold rolled aluminum sheet produces work hardening, the strength and deformation resistance of the metal increase, accompanied by the decrease of plasticity.
The difference between cold-rolled aluminum sheet and hot-rolled aluminum sheet should be discussed from six aspects: price, raw material supply, production process, performance, purpose and finished products.
Price: the process of cold rolled aluminum plate is simple, and the price is cheaper than that of hot rolled aluminum plate.
Different raw material supply: the difference between the two is that the blank supply is different.
Hot rolled material: aluminum ingot - melted and cast into flat ingot - milling surface - homogenization annealing - hot rolled into plate and strip
Cold rolled material: aluminum ingot -- smelting -- rolled into plate and strip through casting mill.
Compared with the two, the production efficiency of cold rolled material is high, but the defects such as component segregation and inclusions are not easy to solve, and the quality is not as good as that of hot rolled material;
3. The production processes are different: cold rolling is processed by a cast rolling mill into a cast coil (8mm thick) and processed by a cold rolling mill, while hot rolling is heated by an aluminum plate ingot (400-500mm thick) and rolled by a hot rolling mill at high temperature;
4. Different properties: hot rolled aluminum plate has good surface quality, strong mechanical properties and ductility, and good oxidation effect;
5. Different uses: cold rolled aluminum plate is mostly used for dies, and hot rolled aluminum plate is suitable for stamping and stretching.
6. Difference between finished products: generally, the elongation of cold-rolled products is lower than that of hot-rolled products.
When selecting aluminum sheet, customers must pay attention to the purpose of aluminum sheet. If cold-rolled aluminum sheet is used for die, the die is inferior to cold-rolled sheet in hardness and durability. Cold rolled aluminum sheet is used for stamping and drawing. Because of its weak tensile capacity and high hardness, it is easy to fracture.
