5454 aluminum plate is a typical rust-proof aluminum plate, which belongs to the 5 series aluminum-
magnesium alloy. The strength of 5454 aluminum plate is similar to that of 5154, and it needs to be strengthened by cold working, but it is 20% higher than the medium strength of 5052 aluminum plate.
In addition, the corrosion resistance of 5454 aluminum plate is better than that of 5154 aluminum plate. Therefore, we often see 5454 aluminum sheets in environments with high requirements for rust resistance, which can adapt to harsh corrosive environments, such as marine facilities pipelines, aluminum tank car bodies, automobile wheels, etc.
Performance characteristics of 5454 aluminum sheet
For Al-Mg series anti-rust aluminum, the strength of 5454 is higher than that of 3A21, especially with higher fatigue strength.
Similar to 3A21, 5454 has high plasticity and corrosion resistance. 5454 cannot be increased in strength by heat treatment.
The effect is better in atomic hydrogen welding, contact welding and argon arc welding that have a tendency to crystallize cracks.
The alloy has good machinability in the cold work hardening and semi-cold work hardening state, but the machinability in the annealed state is not good and can be polished.
Sandblasting, grinding, polishing is available.

Packaging and shipping of 5454 aluminium sheet
Each piece of aluminum sheet will be covered with paper or film to ensure its smooth surface.
Plastic or kraft paper packages are used to prevent the aluminum sheet from the moisture and rain.
Install wooden pallets and use steel belts to reinforce them to avoid collisions during transportation.
The Aluminum sheets are packed in wooden boxes and brackets with fumigation marks.
The packaging can also be customized according to the customer's other packaging requirements.
