3004 Alloy Aluminum Sheet Plate
3004 aluminum sheet
The composition and end use of 3004 aluminum is very similar to 3003 aluminum. However, 3004 showed higher strength due to the addition of 1% magnesium.
3004 aluminum sheet belongs to the series of aluminum-manganese anti-rust alloys. With only a small amount of magnesium added, the strength of 3004 is close to that of 5052 aluminum.
The oxidation surface treatment effect of 3004 aluminum plate series is amazing, and it is a good choice for color-coated aluminum substrates.

Material characteristics of 3004 aluminum sheet
aluminum 3004 is an AL-Mn alloy, the most widely used rust-proof aluminum, the strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum), can not be heat-treated to strengthen, so the use of cold processing methods to improve mechanical properties of 3004 aluminum sheet
in the annealed state there is high plasticity, in the semi-cold hardening plasticity is still good, cold hardening plasticity is low, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor machinability.

Uses
3004 aluminum sheet has good formability, solubility and corrosion resistance. It is used for processing parts that require good forming properties, high corrosion resistance, good weldability, or work that requires both these properties and higher strength than 1XXX series alloys, such as kitchenware, food and chemical products handling and storage devices, tanks and jars for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipes processed in thin sheets, general ware, heat sinks, make-up plates, photocopier rollers, and ship materials.
